Lamanai, or “submerged crocodile” is one of Belize's largest ceremonial centers. It is located on the banks of the 30 mile long New River Lagoon in North Central Belize. The area also features a visitor's center, the remnants of two 16th century Spanish churches and a colonial sugar mill.

Blue Hole National Park
The Blue Hole National Park is located about fifteen miles from Belmopan along the Hummingbird Highway. The inland Blue Hole is a circular sinkhole filled with flowing water, usually appearing a brilliant blue. It is approximately 25 feet deep, and about 300 feet in diameter.
