Tender
Boat at the Village |
The
Fort Street Tourism Village is the first of its kind to
be built in Belize. Strategically located at the mouth of
the Haulover Creek, passengers can disembark their tenders
just fifteen minutes away from their cruise ships.
The Village caters primarily to cruise ship visitors, but
is open to anyone who is interested in shopping or dining.
Architecturally similar to an open-air Mini-Mall,
the Village features several courtyards, souvenir shops,
restaurants, snack bars and live entertainment when the
cruise ships are in harbor. Regular tours are offered
departing from the Tourism Village in the morning and returning
around 3:00 in the afternoon.

A
Wide Variety of Shops |
Tours
include snorkeling, diving and sailing offshore, as well
as inland adventures to the Mayan Sites, the Belize Zoo,
caves and wildlife sanctuaries. City tours are also
available. On cruise ship days, local vendors also
line the streets surrounding the Village, offering numerous
opportunities for cultural exchange and purchasing local
arts and crafts.
